Advisor Selection Process

Applicants must complete and submit a written application, provide references, and grant permission for a criminal history background check.

Must complete the Adult Worker Training Program.

Disqualification: Individuals with a past history of sexual crimes, child abuse, sexual molestation, or convictions involving children; those with pending charges involving children; those with a history of violence or sexually exploitive behavior; or those terminated from positions due to misconduct with a child are disqualified.

Random background screenings of Board members, Advisors, volunteers, or employees can occur at any time (at least once every five years). Foreign background screenings require a police report from the jurisdiction.

Applicants cannot serve until they receive an acceptance letter and advisor card from DeMolay International. Renewal of registration materials is required annually and re-appointment is at the Executive Officer's discretion.
