Budget

DeMolay International and the Board of Directors are prohibited from adopting or amending a budget that permits expenditures to exceed revenues.

No officer or employee may authorize or make expenditures not provided for in the budget.

The Budget and Finance Committee, with the Controller and Executive Director, creates the annual budget.

The budget is reviewed, discussed, and approved at the Board meeting prior to the annual Session meeting.

Any budgeted expenditure exceeding $5,000 requires written approval from both the Grand Treasurer and the Grand Secretary.Any unbudgeted expenditure must be approved by the Board of Directors by amending the budget, provided it does not cause an overall deficit
