Chapters

The local club of the Order of DeMolay, chartered by or working under Letters Temporary of DeMolay International. Cannot be named for a living person; name must be approved by DeMolay International.

Its territory usually coincides with the Jurisdiction boundaries, unless set by the Executive Officer.May be sponsored by an organization exclusively of Masons or an Advisory Council.

Requires an Advisory Council with at least three Mason members in good standing. Must have stated meetings at least monthly.

A quorum for business is the members present.

Chapter officers: Master Councilor, Senior Councilor, Junior Councilor (elected); Treasurer, Scribe (appointed by Advisory Council); others appointed by Master Councilor.

Master Councilor, Senior Councilor, and Junior Councilor are elected for a term of three, four, or six months. A member cannot serve as Master Councilor in more than one Chapter simultaneously. The Master Councilor must ensure observance of rules, accurate records, timely reports, and that initiations are held at least once per term.

The Scribe records transactions, collects fees, keeps financial records, and makes reports.

The Treasurer keeps accurate accounts and pays disbursements, requiring approval by the Chapter and Advisory Council.

At least two registered adult advisors must be present at all Chapter events
