Officers of DeMolay International
Elective Officers: Grand Master, Grand Senior Councilor, Grand Junior Councilor, Grand Treasurer, Grand Secretary
Each elective officer must be a Class 1 member, elected by a majority vote of those present and voting during the annual meeting's final business session. Hold office for one year or until successors are elected/appointed.
Appointive Officers: Grand Senior Deacon, Grand Junior Deacon, Grand Senior Steward, Grand Junior Steward, Grand Chaplain, Grand Almoner, Grand Marshal, Grand Standard Bearer, Grand Orator, Grand First through Seventh Preceptors, Grand Sentinel, Grand Organist.
Each appointive officer must be a member of DeMolay International.
Key Officer Duties (DeMolay International)
Grand Master: Presiding officer of DeMolay International, has general supervision of the Order when DI and the Board are not in session. Reports official acts and decisions in writing to DI annually. Appoints Class 1 appointive officers and committees. May appoint Executive Officers and remove them if good of the Order demands. May suspend honors/awards.
Grand Secretary: Controls general offices under Board and Grand Master supervision, responsible for extension and promotion of the Order.Records proceedings of DI and Board, keeps seal, collects monies, conducts correspondence, maintains records of Chapters and members, issues calls to meetings, and prepares Charters. Is the Secretary of the Board of Directors
Grand Treasurer: Chief financial officer. Establishes operating funds, arranges payment of obligations, keeps financial records, prepares annual financial statements, and reports income/disbursements to the Budget and Finance Committee.
